J2EE

Java = Flexible + Versatile
+ Adaptable
Java is a universal language not restricted
to any single operating system, platform, or device.
This versatility allows you to adopt new technology
incrementally and easily and to avoid having your
existing investments in computing infrastructure
become obsolete. The technology leverages the functionality
of the Internet by housing the business logic and
data on the server, centralizing the management,
and giving users access to the application through
any common browser. Java is the language of the
Internet and the language most used to support XML.
More specifically, we use Java 2 Enterprise Edition
(J2EE), a language Sun developed specially for developers
who build eBusiness, e-commerce, enterprise resource
planning, and other distributed Internet software
applications. Far more than just a language; Java
is a platform with many pre-built elements, which
help drive productivity improvements and leave less
room for error. J2EE also has the richest set of
API's to other systems. We use and exploit all major
APIs of J2EE including EJB/RMI, Servlets, JSP, JNDI,
JDBC, JMS, JavaMail/JAF and XML.
J2EE:
 |
Constructs
applications on standardized modular components. |
 |
Provides a complete
set of services to these components.
|
 |
Handles many details
of application behavior without complex programming. |
 |
Ports across different
operating systems, platforms, and devices. |
 |
Scales easily. |
J2EE simply requires less code writing and is easier
to use. In today's heterogeneous environment, application
developers spend 50% of their time integrating services
from a variety of vendors and disparate sets of
data models and standards. J2EE eliminates this
need.
It also allows us to use Enterprise JavaBean technology
(EJB). EJB technology defines a model for developing
and deploying reusable Java server components, which
support "Write Once, Run Anywhere"
portability, allowing developers to focus on writing
the business logic needed to support their application
without having to be concerned about implementing
the surrounding framework.
Some of the benefits EJB offers are:
Simplified development
Easy portability
Increased versatility across environments
Using Java and its associated technology, we create
a solution that gives you the true versatility,
flexibility, and adaptability you need. |
